Under Armour Shares Fall After Weak Fiscal 2026 Outlook

Shares of Under Armour Inc. (NYSE: UAA) fell more than 5% during intra-day trading on Thursday after the company provided a full-year earnings forecast that missed analyst expectations. The guidance overshadowed second-quarter fiscal 2026 results that narrowly beat estimates.

The company posted second-quarter earnings per share of $0.04, beating the consensus estimate of $0.02. Revenue reached $1.33 billion, ahead of the $1.31 billion forecast, but was down 5% year over year, or 6% on a currency-neutral basis.

Gross margin for the quarter declined by 250 basis points to 47.3%, pressured by supply chain costs, increased tariffs, and an unfavorable product and regional mix. Adjusted operating income was $53 million, excluding transformation and restructuring expenses.

For its full fiscal 2026, Under Armour projected earnings per share between $0.03 and $0.05, below the Wall Street consensus of $0.06. The company also expects revenue to decline by 4% to 5% for the year, with gross margins anticipated to contract by 190 to 210 basis points.
